Not every floor needs a full, down-to-the-bare-wood restoration. If your hardwood is structurally sound but starting to look dull, or has accumulated light surface scratches from pets and daily foot traffic, our Buff & Coat service is the perfect solution.
Also known as a "screen and recoat," this process involves lightly abrading the existing topcoat of polyurethane to remove micro-scratches and embedded dirt. We then apply a fresh, commercial-grade layer of protective polyurethane. It restores the factory shine, adds years to the life of your floor, and costs a fraction of a full refinish.

The Restoration Process.

Site Prep & Protection
We secure the room, hang protective plastic if necessary, and deploy our industrial HEPA vacuum systems connected directly to our sanding equipment.
Dustless Sanding
Using heavy drum sanders and specialized edgers, we make multiple passes (progressing through grit levels) to strip away the old finish and remove deep scratches, exposing the raw wood.
Custom Stain Blending
We water-pop the wood grain to open the pores, then hand-rub your chosen stain. We can lay down multiple color swatches directly on your raw floor so you can see exactly how it looks in your home's lighting.
Protective Polyurethane
We seal the floor with 2 to 3 coats of commercial-grade polyurethane (available in matte, satin, or gloss). This locks in the color and provides years of scratch and scuff resistance.
